Dear PPG members,
After many weeks of temporary closure, it is with great pleasure, trilling and excitment that I am announcing the reopening of the much-acclaimed Venetian Resort on Saturday 24th of February at 8.30pm sharp. But most importantly, it is an honor for our casino to announce the first high stake tournament of Texas Hold'em no limit to be held in the history of the PPG!
The details of the tournament are as follow:
€75 per person for 3000 chips, with 1 rebuy of €25 allowed within the first 1h.15min - a long night of pleasure guaranteed!
Selective admission: by that, I mean only PPG members for this event
Needless to say I will have to receive rapid confirmation of who will attend at this once-in-a-lifetime event in order for the host to prepare its casino. Buffet and late-night munchies will be on the house. Drinks/Beers on the guests.
With that said, I wish you to end on this final note:
Like Doyle Bronson once said: "For me to win a high-stake event; I tend to relax and meditate between 2-3hours for 3 days prior to that big event"...

1 rebuy at 25? strange.. how many chips? what about the add-on?
a rebuy is supposed to be the same as a buy in! when can you rebuy? do you apply the official rules? or is it fantasy again?

depends on the rules!
be clear and adapt the official rules and i'll be there!
a rebuy is supposed to be the same amount as the buy in.
an add-on is usually twice the value of chips for the price of a buy in but only AFTER the rebuy period. usually an hour.
If you want to make a real high stake... i would suggested the following:
50 buy in, 50 rebuy (unlimitted during 60 minutes)
add on after 60 minutes for double chips
or
make a NO rebuy tourney with higher buy in
it's illogical to have a rebuy for 1/3 of the buy in... players will play "n'importe comment"... till their rebuy...
not that i want absolutely my way... i really believe we have to play by the "real" rules...

It feels so good to know that the Venetian is back! Sometimes the waiting period seems so long, but then one day a special announcement is made on the Blogger and suddenly you realize that every single second of this infernal waiting period was fucking worth it!. Godzijdank the Ventian is still ALIVE!
I also wanted to share with you the immense privilege it is for me to celebrate my 29th birthday at a poker table with all fellow poker friends for the first high stakes partoche. For this special occasion I'll bring a chulent with kiegel straight from "Chez Sam"
