There are two schools of thought concerning rebuys - some players prefer a high buyin with few rebuys, others prefer a low buyin with abundant rebuys. The play of your game will be affected by whichever method you use. Players will play conservatively (tight) if they know that they cannot rebuy and will play riskier (loose) if they know that they can rebuy if they go broke.

Voté! Le projet de loi de prévention de la délinquance a été adopté par les députés, hier dans la nuit. Pour rappel, ce texte un peu fourre-tout contient quelques dispositions visant à bannir les jeux d'argent et paris en ligne. Il s'agit notamment de geler, via les banques, les transferts d'argent des pokerrooms vers les joueurs, d'obliger les FAI à signaler à leurs abonnés les sites illégaux et de reprimer séverement toute publicité pour les sites illégaux. Le gouvernement devrait demander la constitution d'une commission mixte paritaire (sénateurs et députés), avant une séance publique prévue le jeudi 22 février, soit la semaine prochaine, qui tiendra lieu d'examen définitif. Les dispositions anti-jeux online pourraient ne s'appliquer ensuite que dans six mois (selon certaines sources, mais nous préciserons cela vite), en fonction des délais de promulgation des décret d'applications. Mais bon, on s'approche clairement de la fin du feuilleton législatif, et du début des emmerdes pour quelques uns.

After many weeks of temporary closure, it is with great pleasure, trilling and excitment that I am announcing the reopening of the much-acclaimed Venetian Resort on Saturday 24th of February at 8.30pm sharp. But most importantly, it is an honor for our casino to announce the first high stake tournament of Texas Hold'em no limit to be held in the history of the PPG!
The details of the tournament are as follow:
€75 per person for 3000 chips, with 1 rebuy of €25 allowed within the first 1h.15min - a long night of pleasure guaranteed!
Selective admission: by that, I mean only PPG members for this event

Needless to say I will have to receive rapid confirmation of who will attend at this once-in-a-lifetime event in order for the host to prepare its casino. Buffet and late-night munchies will be on the house. Drinks/Beers on the guests.

With that said, I wish you to end on this final note:
Like Doyle Bronson once said: "For me to win a high-stake event; I tend to relax and meditate between 2-3hours for 3 days prior to that big event"...

Avant propos : Je m'exprime ici dans la langue de Molière car dans le territoire qui accueille mon humble demeure, les conflits linguistiques sont légions et la résistance aux désirs de conquête de certains lobbys flamands est vitale.

Le PPG s'agrandi. C'est aujourd'hui un fait indéniable. Le Président, réélu à une écrasante majorité (par défaut d'opposition, certes, mais tout de même...), peut être fier de tout ce qui a été accompli. De part le monde, de nombreux hommes d'affaire (de multiple nationalités, races, préférences sexuelles) font part de leur intérêt dans notre organisation. Des licences sont courtisées, et, dans certains cas, accordées à ces candidats-entrepreneurs. Et le PPG se renforce par la diversification de ces représentations au 4 coins de la planète : Tel-Aviv, Londres, l'extrême Orient, Brussels-City-Capital, Antwerp-Diamond-City-Center, etc... sont autant d'endroits d'implantation potentiels ou déjà actuels qui démontrent, s'il fallait encore le prouver, l'ouverture sur le monde de notre organisation.

Mais il est encore des lieux inexplorés. Et c'est à ce sujet que je m'adresse officiellement à vous ce soir :
Il existe un territoire tout particulier que j'aimerais vous faire découvrir : RHODESANGELES 1640.

Parfois confondu avec BEVERLY HILLS 98210, ce lieu est unique. Rhodesangeles 1640 est un état souverain, ou la loi n'est pas nécessaire (criminalité zéro, pas d'accident de voiture recencé depuis 1928, ...). Le pouvoir y est détenu par le peuple en son entierté, les décisions étant prises à la majorité absolue (majorité qui a été atteinte systématiquement depuis la déclaration d'indépendance).

A Rhodesangeles 1640, le (micro-)climat est très particulier : le territoire en son entierté est tourné vers le soleil et par le biais d'un système (unique au monde) de ventillation aérien les nuages sont repoussés à l'Est sur demande ==> il y fait beau 365 jours par an.
A Rhodesangeles 1640, la Porsche Cayenne est autant représentée que la byciclette ne l'est à Roterdam.
A Rhodesangeles 1640, la boucherie du coin offre 784 variétés de jambons.
A Rhodesangeles 1640, l'herbe est chez soi toujours plus verte que chez le voisin.

C'est pourquoi, j'aimerais officiellement déposer une demande de licence pour l'ouverture du Rhodesangeles 1640 Resort & Spa.

Nous, les propriétaires du Rhodesangeles 1640 Resort & Spa (dont la propriété est partagée équitablement entre ma nouvelle fiancée (et futur Madame Amosterdam) et moi-même) avons préparé cette demande de licence depuis longtemps. Une première partoche malheureuse jouée au mois d'octobre (qualifiée par certains de "plus mauvaise partoche de tous les temps") nous avait fait prendre conscience qu'il nous fallait gagner en maturité et en expérience avant de faire le pas d'approcher le PPG officiellement. Aujourd'hui, nous sommes prêts !

Un mobilier confortable (importés directement de Scandinavie et d'Asie), une nourriture de qualité servie à table (en pré-partie) ou sous forme de buffet (en self-service avec possibilité de sitting-out gastronomique), une dégustation de grand vins, une atmosphère musicale (live ou Podcastée), une déco (design cubique post-moderne), un domaine de 600m² ou il fait bon se promener et ou il fait bon se dorer au soleil sur transat', sont autant de services inclus dans le deal.
Mais ce n'est pas tout :
Sur réservation, le Rhodesangeles 1640 Resort & Spa permet, comme son nom l'indique, de passer la nuit sur place (bed & breakfast à 285€) ainsi que de recevoir (48€ par 1/4 d'heure d'utilisation) tout le confort de notre SPA ==> inutile de vous rappeler l'immense expérience que je possède d'une part dans la science du BAIN CHAUD (contrôle de température optimale, mise en mousse pas trop dense, pas trop aérée) et d'autre part de la COSMETIQUE (Vous le valez bien!).

Pour tester nos installations, des parties non-officielles ont été jouée en ce lieu ces dernières semaines avec un certain succès.

C'est donc avec une grande envie de réussir que j'attendrai vos impressions sur cette nouvelle proposition.

RESUMé of the "Tropicana Pend...."

Dear president, members...

As i wrote a couple of days before, i went on a special mission to expand our ppg activities overseas....
Saturday evening in Tel-aviv, i played at the still unofical casino "tropicana pend"....
I was actually impressed about the organisation of the casino.....
The partoche counted 10 players... it was a real international partoche.
There was an italian,a french,5 belgian people including Mr Ob.Kenoza's brother,the host,Mr Le loup, the conciergerie's brother,jacks (an old friend from some of the ppg members) and myself... and the rest was some "singerie" who are doing all the possible efforts to kill our enemy (the shmieseray)
I want to mention some things :
The conciergerie's brother make me understand that the conciergerie is realy taken seriously....It's realy a long family tradition to take care of the other people....
Once he was kicked out of the table (with a big applaus of the other players) he took care of the food for the others.....
Our rules are almost the rules overthere,with maybe a little adjustment needed on cash games and buy inns... But in our PPG it's also changes all the time so .......
After some people were kikcked out of the table, a second table opened for a cash game....There was also a lot of "crasses", pintjes and vegetatie present......
Mr President,
I hope you will have the possibility one day to go check this casino.... we might have a future in the holy land.....
I hope my mission helped us to expand our activity's...

As Jacks told me, everyone was informed of a play at his table in the evening...so as the rules wants: it was an official partoche...

One of our guests,Mr Wolf, better known as "LE LOUP" alias le fou.....is organizing again a partoche at his still unbranded "TROPICANA PENT" casino in the city of Tel-aviv located in the holy land....that will take place this saturday.
A couple of weeks ago : Mr. Ob Kenoza, alias Mr Kenoza,president of the Luxor casino and lux resort went already take a look at this casino...
As a "colonel" i'm actually going overthere for a special mission to the lebanese-israeli border.After the recent clashes that happenned yesterday. But as a good jew, i will not fight on saturday, so i will attend the poker partoche that begins after shabbes of course.....

With your agreement i will take a look at this casino to see if "the rules are still the rules" and that not to many "singerie" is attending the casino....and of course to try to expand more and more the activity of the PPG outside our borders. I will come back with a resumé of that casino.

After the difficult week we had inside the ppg, with all those orginized partoches that took place without notifying all the members,with our enemy still hanging out there, i saw your answer to Mr Manny Riviera, and i feel more confident than ever, i had the feeling that 2007 is not begining so well,but i realised that all the small problems we have, will only make us stronger....

Dear president,

I have the impression that my multiple requests to acquire a PPG-licence for my London-based Caesar's Palace casino have been dismissed on several occasions by yourself. I am starting to feel that you DONT TAKE ME VERY SERIOUSLY?! Or maybe this is just the result of political games happening inside the PPG between the conciergerie, the syndicat and yourself - and that you may have lost some power recently? Or maybe you are afraid that the London Caesar palace will one day overtake the PPG...? I don't know what it is, but to prove my good intentions, I would like to make a proposal to you:
On the weekend of the 16-18 february, I will be on a business tour in Belgium to raise money for my casino. I would like to invite all PPG members to come and join me in my secondary residence in the Ardennes during that weekend (http://www.lebuisson.net/). The idea is that we mix business and pleasure. I will make you a concrete business proposal as to why you should expand your franchise overseas with me (trust me, I will keep the shmies to a minimum and the tachles to a maximum). But we will also have time to relax and enjoy the nice facilities and surroundings.
Needless to say, we shall play a few high quality partoches until the early hours of the morning as well.
So, dear president, the parole is now to you: FOLD, CALL or... RAISE ???
If you are man enough to call, I would have to know ASAP how many members will be attending.
